Volunteering Background


Anne has volunteered throughout her life. When she was at home raising her family she volunteered at the CAB and the Probation Service. During her fifteen years in training she chaired numerous Training Networks at Local, Regional and National level. Anne was a founder Director of ALI (Adult Learning Inspectorate) the Ofsted equivalent for adult education and a Regional Counsellor for CBI. For nine years 1997 – 2006 she was a member of Cheshire’s Advisory Committee and Chaired it’s North and West Cheshire subcommittee.

This involved recruiting magistrates and dealing with discipline and grievance issues of existing magistrates. She represented Cheshire and Lay Members nationally on a project to increase and support magistrates. She also represented the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire at a national meeting and was appointed Deputy Lieutenant of Cheshire in 2006 in recognition of her contribution to the community.


Currently Anne is the Director of Social Enterprise North West.(SENW)

She is also a
Vice Chair of EPNAVCO, A member of Ellesmere Port Area Partnership Board (APB) its Lead person for the Regeneration Task Group and a member of Fairshare’s Trust Fund.
